The Division of Information Technology and the Center
for Teaching Excellence have partnered to support faculty exploration in
mobile learning. Mobile Learning Fellows are selected to participate in the
annual Center for Teaching Excellence's Summer
Institute for New(er) Technologies and then are supported by the Mobility
Initiative during the academic year as they incorporate mobile learning in their
courses. In addition, a separate proposal process is conducted for the spring
semester each academic year for faculty interested in experimenting with mobile
learning. Those faculty who are selected receive access to the loaner pool of
iPod touch devices that are part of the Mobility Initiative.
